My wife has suddenly re-grown her conscience and has started Twittering about the environment. You can see her feed here. I noticed it at the supermarket today with her, we could only buy certain products but actually all dues to her she did say I could buy what I want but she wouldn't pack it or something like that. I now have a way with dealing with super market shopping, I put my headphones on and listen to the most chilled out music possible. I get quite freaked out by all these families buying all this food, just the huge demand of it all. The population of the earth is predicted to raise to 9 billion, and if they all want our gluttonous western standard of living we are quite literally fucked. But that didn't stop me joining in and buying the 'Responsibly sourced' Salmon. Thats the thing, I feel totally helpless when it comes to the environment and other causes. I know one changed habit multiplied by a million is a lot but it just seems so futile; like trying to stop the tide rising. In a billion years the human race will probably be extinct but earth will still circle the sun. I have troubles relating...
